Wellness Project Launches a Native Withings Integration, Retiring the Phone Hub

Withings scale and sleep data now connects directly to Wellness Project through Withings' own API, so weight, body composition, and sleep land automatically without an intermediary app to keep open or permissions to renew.

Apple Health, Fitbit, Oura, and Health Connect in a row with Withings added at the end, badged new, their data flowing into the Wellness Project dashboard on a phone.

BEVERLY, Mass., August 11, 2026 – Wellness Project has released a native integration with Withings, connecting directly to the Withings API instead of picking up a Withings reading secondhand from a phone's health hub. Weight, body composition, and sleep data captured on a Withings scale or sleep tracker now reach a user's Wellness Project history on their own, with no other app standing between the device and the account.

The old path was not unreliable so much as it added a dependency that had nothing to do with fitness tracking. A Withings reading first had to land in a phone's built-in health hub, which meant a second app to keep installed and, on some phones, permissions that quietly expire and have to be re-granted. A native integration removes that middle step entirely: Wellness Project authenticates with Withings directly, and Withings notifies it the moment new data exists.

Routing a scale reading through a phone health hub always worked, but it is never the sturdiest design. Every extra hop is one more place for a permission to lapse or a background sync to get delayed. A direct connection means the data shows up because Withings told us it exists, not because a phone happened to sync recently.

Bryan Barash, founder of Wellness Project

That directness is also what makes the sync fast. The integration is webhook-driven, so a new weigh-in or a finished night of sleep on a Withings sleep tracker triggers an immediate server-side pull rather than waiting on a phone's next background refresh window. Weight, body fat percentage, fat and lean mass, muscle mass, bone mass, hydration, and sleep, including sleep stages and resting heart rate overnight, all land the same way: automatically, with no app in the middle to babysit.

From there, the data is immediately part of a user's full history rather than an isolated Withings chart. Someone can ask Claude or ChatGPT why their weight plateaued this month and get an answer built from the same logged workouts, meals, and sleep sitting next to their Withings readings, not a generic explainer.

Your Withings data sitting next to the meals and workouts you logged the same week is what makes it useful. A chart tells you your weight moved. Your own history is what tells you why.

About Wellness Project

Wellness Project LLC is an AI-first company in the most literal sense. It was founded and is led by Bryan Barash, and almost every other contributor is an AI agent. The software was engineered by AI. The company is organized the way any company is, as functions with senior specialists running them, except the specialists are AI: engineering and platform, legal, and a marketing organization split into earned media, search, and brand and demand. A localization agency ships the product in twelve languages and a dedicated guild owns the wearable integrations. They work like a real bench rather than a prompt. Each agent holds a lane and defends it, they argue the call out between themselves first, and what reaches Bryan is a recommendation with the tradeoffs attached rather than a menu of options. He sets direction and makes the decisions; they do the work. The same structure runs inside the product, where named AI specialists advise users across training, nutrition, longevity, recovery, running, and rehab, and where users who would rather bring their own assistant can reach the same data from Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, or any other client that speaks the Model Context Protocol. Wellness Project is a working proof that a real company, from the code to the go-to-market, can be built and operated by a small human-directed team of AI agents. Wellness Project is informational software, not a medical product, and its AI advisors do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. Wellness Project LLC is headquartered in Delaware. About the founder

Bryan Barash is the founder of Wellness Project LLC. He is a senior marketing and legal executive at a technology company in one of the most heavily regulated consumer categories in the country, where he works at the intersection of growth, policy, and law. Before that, he spent eight years as General Counsel to Massachusetts State Senate President Harriette Chandler after receiving his law degree from Boston College. He brings deep regulatory and legal experience, has designed and shipped websites and software himself, and is today one of the leading strategic voices on how AI is reshaping go-to-market. Wellness Project is where those threads meet: a consumer health product built almost entirely by an AI team, directed by a founder who knows regulation, code, and how to bring a product to market. Bryan lives in Beverly, Massachusetts with his wife Claudia, son Elias, and their dachshund Seven.
