Sedentary Patterns
Find the parts of your routine where movement consistently disappears.
Wellness Project learns your recurring least-active hour and weekday from your own movement history, then surfaces those patterns in context instead of firing a generic timer every time you sit still.

Patterns, not timers
Your quietest hour and day are learned from your history.
The current model looks across recent history for a recurring least-active weekday and a recurring least-active waking hour. It only surfaces a pattern when there is enough evidence to call it recurring.
Least-active weekday
Wellness Project looks across up to 56 recent days to find the weekday that repeatedly lands below your usual movement level. It is a recurring pattern, not a judgment about one lazy Tuesday.
Least-active hour
Across the most recent 28 days, the app looks for the waking-hour window where movement consistently falls off. The comparison is against your own typical daytime pattern, not somebody else’s schedule.
Insights → Patterns → Training
Sedentary Patterns live with the rest of your learned training patterns, so the result sits beside the behavior it is meant to explain instead of becoming another isolated notification setting.
Dashboard alerts only when relevant
When today or the current hour lines up with a learned low-movement pattern, the Dashboard can surface it in the moment. Outside that context, it stays quiet.
Part of Active Living
The pattern is supporting evidence for Active Living, alongside movement volume, activity load, and how movement is distributed through the day. It is one input into the wider Healthspan view, not a standalone health score.
See where your own movement drops off.
Connect a supported wearable or phone health source and Wellness Project can turn weeks of ordinary movement data into a pattern you can actually act on.
Sedentary Patterns
This is deliberately different from a stand reminder.
A conventional inactivity reminder starts a clock when you stop moving and nudges you after a fixed interval. Sedentary Patterns asks a different question: where does movement repeatedly disappear in your real routine? If 3 PM is reliably your lowest-movement hour, or Sunday is repeatedly your slowest day, that recurring pattern is more useful than another generic “stand up now” timer. The feature does not diagnose sedentary behavior or claim that one hour is unsafe. It helps you notice the places in your schedule where a small change is most repeatable.
