What Withings data reaches Claude
The direct Withings connection is especially useful for trend questions because it preserves scale and sleep history without relying on a phone-hub relay. Weight, body-composition estimates, sleep, and overnight resting heart rate can sit beside training and nutrition in one timeline.
Blood pressure is a specific limitation: Withings BPM readings are not part of the native Wellness Project sync today. Do not promise those readings to the assistant just because a Withings device can measure them.
Claude does not receive a bulk wearable export. It asks Wellness Project for the supported rows needed for the question, through the authorized remote MCP connection with sign-in authorization.
How to connect Withings to Claude
Your setup screen may look different.
AI assistants change their settings and navigation frequently. Menu names and steps can vary by web, desktop, or mobile client, device and operating system, plan, account type, version, and staged rollout. Treat the instructions on this page as a current guide and look for the equivalent Apps, Connectors, Plugins, or MCP controls if your version differs.
Authorize Withings in Wellness Project
Open Settings → Devices → Withings and complete Withings account authorization. Wellness Project reads the supported Withings API data directly.
Confirm scale and sleep history
Check that recent weight, body composition, sleep, and overnight resting-heart-rate data are present before connecting the assistant.
Add Wellness Project as a Claude connector
In claude.ai, open Settings → Connectors, add https://wellnessproject.ai/api/mcp as a custom remote MCP connection, then sign in and authorize your Wellness Project account.
Ask Claude about your real history
Start with a bounded date range and a concrete question. For example: "How has my weight trend changed over the last eight weeks, ignoring day-to-day noise?" The assistant can then request the relevant Wellness Project rows instead of reasoning from a screenshot or one-off export.
What to ask Claude once Withings is connected
The useful prompts compare your own history over time. These examples are shaped around the data this source actually sends to Wellness Project.
- How has my weight trend changed over the last eight weeks, ignoring day-to-day noise?
- Did my body-fat and muscle-mass estimates move in the same direction as my weight?
- Compare my sleep duration with my weight trend over the last two months.
Limits of the Withings → Wellness Project → Claude path
Withings blood pressure readings are not part of the native sync today.
Body-composition fields are device estimates. Use the assistant for longitudinal pattern analysis rather than treating a single scale reading as a clinical measurement.
Claude is reading an authorized Wellness Project MCP connection, not a native Withings integration supplied by Claude's developer.
Connect Withings, then ask Claude.
Sync the supported history into Wellness Project, authorize Claude, and ask questions against your real trend instead of exporting files or pasting screenshots.
