How to connect Oura Ring to Gemini

Wellness Project connects directly to your Oura account through Oura authorization. Apple Health and Health Connect are not required for the direct Oura path. Gemini Spark then reads the synced history through Wellness Project's custom MCP app in Gemini Spark, rather than signing into Oura Ring itself.

Connect Oura to Wellness Project first, then authorize Gemini through Wellness Project's MCP connection so the assistant can query the supported synced history.

What Oura data reaches Gemini

Oura connects directly to Wellness Project, so the assistant does not need an Oura plugin and you do not have to relay the ring through Apple Health. Once authorized, supported Oura history sits in the same structured layer as your other health sources.

That can include sleep and stages, activity and steps, resting heart rate, HRV, workouts, temperature-related signals, and readiness or stress fields when the Oura API provides them. Oura is not a body-weight or body-composition scale source.

Gemini does not receive a bulk wearable export. It asks Wellness Project for the supported rows needed for the question, through the authorized custom MCP app in Gemini Spark.

How to connect Oura to Gemini

Your setup screen may look different.

AI assistants change their settings and navigation frequently. Menu names and steps can vary by web, desktop, or mobile client, device and operating system, plan, account type, version, and staged rollout. Treat the instructions on this page as a current guide and look for the equivalent Apps, Connectors, Plugins, or MCP controls if your version differs.

  1. 1

    Authorize Oura in Wellness Project

Open Settings → Devices → Oura and complete Oura account authorization. Wellness Project reads the supported Oura API data directly.

  2. 2

Confirm the Oura history you want to ask about

Check recent sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, activity, and workout rows in Wellness Project. The assistant can only query what has synced.

  3. 3

Add Wellness Project as a custom app in Gemini Spark

Open gemini.google.com/spark, go to Settings → Personal intelligence → Connected apps → Add custom app, paste https://wellnessproject.ai/api/mcp, leave client credentials blank, and sign in to authorize Wellness Project.

  4. 4

Ask Gemini about your real history

Start with a bounded date range and a concrete question. For example: "Compare my HRV and resting heart rate over the last six weeks with my sleep duration." The assistant can then request the relevant Wellness Project rows instead of reasoning from a screenshot or one-off export.

What to ask Gemini once Oura is connected

The useful prompts compare your own history over time. These examples are shaped around the data this source actually sends to Wellness Project.

  • Compare my HRV and resting heart rate over the last six weeks with my sleep duration.
  • Which weeks had the most consistent sleep timing, and what happened to my activity?
  • Summarize my lowest-recovery stretches using the Oura signals that actually synced.

Limits of the Oura → Wellness Project → Gemini path

Oura does not provide body-weight or body-composition scale data through this integration.

The connection is read-only and source refresh is not a real-time sensor stream. Ask trend questions against synced history rather than assuming the latest minute is already present.

Gemini is reading an authorized Wellness Project MCP connection, not a native Oura integration supplied by Gemini's developer.

Connect Oura, then ask Gemini.

Sync the supported history into Wellness Project, authorize Gemini, and ask questions against your real trend instead of exporting files or pasting screenshots.

Frequently asked questions

Does Gemini connect directly to Oura Ring?+

No. Wellness Project connects directly to your Oura account through Oura authorization. Apple Health and Health Connect are not required for the direct Oura path. Gemini connects to Wellness Project through its custom MCP app in Gemini Spark, not to Oura Ring itself.

What Oura data can Gemini read?+

Supported Oura data includes sleep and stages, activity and steps, resting heart rate, HRV, workouts, temperature-related signals, and readiness or stress fields when Oura provides them.

Can the assistant read my body weight from Oura?+

No. Oura is not a body-weight or body-composition scale source in Wellness Project. Connect a supported scale or another source if you want weight trends in the same analysis.

Does Gemini connect directly to the wearable account?+
