How to connect Zepp / Amazfit to Grok

Zepp does not connect directly to Wellness Project today. The Zepp app can write supported Amazfit data to Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android, and Wellness Project reads that hub. Grok reads that bridged history through Wellness Project's custom MCP connector. The bridge works today, while Wellness Project is also working on the direct Zepp connection.

You can use Zepp with Grok now through Apple Health or Health Connect; Wellness Project reads the bridge and serves it over MCP, while a direct Zepp integration is still being built.

What Zepp data reaches Grok

The working path today is Amazfit → Zepp → Apple Health or Health Connect → Wellness Project → your AI assistant. There is no direct Zepp account connection in Wellness Project yet, but the bridge lets you use the data Zepp already shares with the phone hub.

Do not assume every metric visible in Zepp crosses that bridge. Steps, sleep, heart rate, resting heart rate, and workouts can arrive when Zepp writes them. Model-specific or Zepp-only fields that stay inside the Zepp app are not visible to Wellness Project or the assistant.

Grok does not receive a bulk wearable export. It asks Wellness Project for the supported rows needed for the question, through the authorized custom MCP connector.

The Zepp bridge works today. The direct connection is the next step.

You can already use Amazfit data with AI when Zepp writes it to Apple Health or Health Connect. The limitation is that the hub only receives the categories Zepp chooses to export, so coverage can differ from what you see inside the Zepp app.

Wellness Project is working on a direct Zepp integration. Join the existing direct-sync waitlist if you want a path that is not dependent on Apple Health or Health Connect and so we can measure demand for direct Zepp support. You can keep using the bridge while you wait.

How to connect Zepp to Grok

Your setup screen may look different.

AI assistants change their settings and navigation frequently. Menu names and steps can vary by web, desktop, or mobile client, device and operating system, plan, account type, version, and staged rollout. Treat the instructions on this page as a current guide and look for the equivalent Apps, Connectors, Plugins, or MCP controls if your version differs.

  1. 1

Let Zepp write to your phone health hub

In the Zepp app, enable Apple Health sharing on iPhone or Health Connect sharing on Android and allow the supported categories you want to relay.

  2. 2

Connect that hub to Wellness Project

In Wellness Project, connect Apple Health or Health Connect and grant read permission. Wellness Project reads the hub; it does not sign into Zepp on this path.

  3. 3

    Confirm the Zepp-sourced rows arrived

Check recent steps, sleep, heart rate, and workouts before connecting the assistant. A metric that remains only inside Zepp will not be available over MCP.

  4. 4

Add Wellness Project as a custom connector in Grok

In grok.com, open Settings → Connectors → New Connector → Custom, paste https://wellnessproject.ai/api/mcp, leave Client ID and Client Secret blank, and sign in when Grok opens the Wellness Project authorization flow.

  5. 5

Ask Grok about your real history

Start with a bounded date range and a concrete question. For example: "Compare my Zepp-sourced sleep and resting heart rate over the last month." The assistant can then request the relevant Wellness Project rows instead of reasoning from a screenshot or one-off export.

What to ask Grok once Zepp is connected

The useful prompts compare your own history over time. These examples are shaped around the data this source actually sends to Wellness Project.

  • Compare my Zepp-sourced sleep and resting heart rate over the last month.
  • Which weeks had the most consistent step count, and did workout frequency change?
  • Show which Amazfit metrics are actually reaching Wellness Project and flag gaps in the bridge.

Limits of the Zepp → Wellness Project → Grok path

There is no direct Zepp account integration in Wellness Project yet. The bridge depends on what Zepp writes to Apple Health or Health Connect and can vary by phone, app version, device model, and metric.

Wellness Project is working on a direct Zepp integration. The waitlist is for that direct path so the product can move beyond the phone-hub relay; it is not a replacement for using the bridge today.

Grok is reading an authorized Wellness Project MCP connection, not a native Zepp integration supplied by Grok's developer.

Connect Zepp, then ask Grok.

Sync the supported history into Wellness Project, authorize Grok, and ask questions against your real trend instead of exporting files or pasting screenshots.

Frequently asked questions

Does Grok connect directly to Zepp / Amazfit?+

No. Zepp does not connect directly to Wellness Project today. The Zepp app can write supported Amazfit data to Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android, and Wellness Project reads that hub. Grok connects to Wellness Project through its custom MCP connector, not to Zepp / Amazfit itself.

What Zepp data can Grok read?+

What reaches the assistant is whatever Zepp writes into Apple Health or Health Connect, commonly steps, sleep, heart rate, resting heart rate, and workouts when available.

Does every Amazfit metric in Zepp reach the assistant?+

No. The assistant can only read categories Zepp writes to Apple Health or Health Connect and Wellness Project supports. Zepp-only or model-specific fields that stay inside the Zepp app do not cross the bridge.

Does Grok have a native wearable integration for this?+

No. Grok connects to Wellness Project as a custom MCP connector. Wellness Project is the layer that already synced and structured the health or workout data.

Why join the direct Zepp waitlist if the bridge already works?+

Because the bridge only carries what Zepp exports to Apple Health or Health Connect and coverage can vary by device and metric. The waitlist is for the direct Zepp integration Wellness Project is working on, while the bridge remains usable today.
