What ChatGPT can and cannot see
Once the Health Connect relay is in place, ChatGPT can see the Galaxy Watch metrics Samsung Health already writes to that layer: daily steps and distance, heart rate readings with the underlying zones, sleep duration broken into stages, and workout sessions with pace, duration, and calories. Those are structured rows in Wellness Project, not a screenshot, so ChatGPT can compare this week against last month rather than describing a single number.
What stays out is anything that never leaves the Samsung Health app in the first place. Health Connect only carries what Samsung has chosen to write into it, so a Samsung-exclusive metric that has no Health Connect field simply does not travel. For the core daily numbers most people ask about, steps, heart rate, and sleep, that gap rarely matters.
Is there a Samsung Health MCP server?
There is no Samsung Health MCP server. The path is Samsung Health to Google Health Connect to Wellness Project to ChatGPT, over one MCP connection. That sounds like an extra hop, but the first leg is already running in the background: Samsung Health writes to Health Connect on its own, on any modern Android phone, with no setup on your part.
The two steps that are actually yours are connecting Wellness Project to that Health Connect hub, and connecting ChatGPT to Wellness Project. Neither step is Samsung-specific, which means the same relay also carries Garmin, Withings, and any other device that writes to Health Connect, so adding Samsung Health does not mean building or maintaining a second integration.
Set it up in five steps
The whole flow is a short one-time setup on your Android phone, followed by a one-time connector add in ChatGPT.
Get the Wellness Project app
Download Wellness Project for iPhone or Android with the buttons above, or sign in on the web. Signing in with Apple or Google takes one tap, the account is free during early access, and this is the app that stores your synced history and serves it to Claude and ChatGPT over MCP.
Let Samsung Health sync to Google Health Connect
Samsung Health already writes steps, heart rate, sleep, and Galaxy Watch workouts to Health Connect on Android in the background. There is nothing to turn on here beyond having both apps installed and active.
Connect Wellness Project to that hub
Open Settings, Devices, Health Connect in Wellness Project and grant access. Your synced Samsung Health history starts flowing in within minutes, with no CSV export.
Add the Wellness Project MCP connector to ChatGPT
Add Wellness Project as a connector in ChatGPT and authenticate with the key from your account settings. This is the single connection ChatGPT reads your Samsung Health history through.
Ask about your data in plain language
Open a chat and ask a real question about your Galaxy Watch history. ChatGPT pulls the structured rows from your synced account and answers from your actual numbers.
For the connector itself and the tool surface it exposes, see the Health Connect integration page. This guide is the walkthrough; that page is the product.
What to ask ChatGPT once it is connected
Because ChatGPT is reading synced history rather than a pasted screenshot, the prompts worth asking span time instead of asking about a single day.
- "How has my Galaxy Watch step count trended over the last 30 days?"
- "What heart rate zone was I mostly in during my last three runs?"
- "How does my resting heart rate this week compare to last month?"
- "Did my sleep duration change on the weeks I logged more workouts?"
Each of those pulls structured rows from your synced Samsung Health history rather than a single figure you typed in, so the answer can point to the specific days or weeks that moved the number.
Give ChatGPT your real Galaxy Watch history.
Route Samsung Health through Health Connect into Wellness Project, connect ChatGPT, and ask about your actual trends. Free during early access.
