How to connect Samsung Health to Grok

Samsung Health does not connect to Wellness Project through a Samsung account. On Android, Samsung Health writes supported categories to Health Connect, and Wellness Project reads Health Connect with on-device permission. Grok then reads the synced history through Wellness Project's custom MCP connector, rather than signing into Samsung Health itself.

Connect Samsung Health to Wellness Project first, then authorize Grok through Wellness Project's MCP connection so the assistant can query the supported synced history.

What Samsung Health data reaches Grok

There is no direct Samsung account integration in this path. Samsung Health is an app feeding Android's Health Connect hub. Wellness Project reads Health Connect, and the assistant reads Wellness Project over MCP.

That distinction matters for troubleshooting. If a Galaxy Watch metric exists inside Samsung Health but Samsung Health did not write it to Health Connect, Wellness Project cannot see it. Common shared categories include steps, sleep, heart rate, and workouts; HRV is often not available through the relay.

Grok does not receive a bulk wearable export. It asks Wellness Project for the supported rows needed for the question, through the authorized custom MCP connector.

How to connect Samsung Health to Grok

Your setup screen may look different.

AI assistants change their settings and navigation frequently. Menu names and steps can vary by web, desktop, or mobile client, device and operating system, plan, account type, version, and staged rollout. Treat the instructions on this page as a current guide and look for the equivalent Apps, Connectors, Plugins, or MCP controls if your version differs.

  1. 1

Allow Samsung Health to write to Health Connect

On Android, open Samsung Health and Health Connect permissions and allow Samsung Health to share the categories you want, such as steps, sleep, heart rate, and workouts.

  2. 2

Connect Health Connect in Wellness Project

Open Wellness Project on Android, connect Health Connect, and grant read permission for the same categories. This is the actual data connection; there is no Samsung account login in Wellness Project.

  3. 3

    Confirm Samsung-sourced rows arrived

Check the relevant days in Wellness Project before connecting the assistant. A metric that remains only inside Samsung Health will not be available over MCP.

  4. 4

Add Wellness Project as a custom connector in Grok

In grok.com, open Settings → Connectors → New Connector → Custom, paste https://wellnessproject.ai/api/mcp, leave Client ID and Client Secret blank, and sign in when Grok opens the Wellness Project authorization flow.

  5. 5

Ask Grok about your real history

Start with a bounded date range and a concrete question. For example: "Compare my Samsung-sourced sleep duration and resting heart rate over the last month." The assistant can then request the relevant Wellness Project rows instead of reasoning from a screenshot or one-off export.

What to ask Grok once Samsung Health is connected

The useful prompts compare your own history over time. These examples are shaped around the data this source actually sends to Wellness Project.

  • Compare my Samsung-sourced sleep duration and resting heart rate over the last month.
  • Which weeks had the highest step count, and did workout frequency change?
  • Show me which expected Samsung Health categories are present in Wellness Project and which look missing.

Limits of the Samsung Health → Wellness Project → Grok path

This is a Health Connect relay, not a native Samsung Health account integration.

HRV is often unavailable from Samsung Health through Health Connect. Availability varies by device, app version, and what Samsung chooses to write, so do not turn that into an absolute claim that Samsung can never provide HRV.

Grok is reading an authorized Wellness Project MCP connection, not a native Samsung Health integration supplied by Grok's developer.

Connect Samsung Health, then ask Grok.

Sync the supported history into Wellness Project, authorize Grok, and ask questions against your real trend instead of exporting files or pasting screenshots.
