Training Today for Android

Training Today's readiness score doesn't reach Android.

Training Today calculates its Readiness to Train score from Apple Watch HRV, resting heart rate and sleep, and only runs on iPhone and Apple Watch. Wellness Project runs natively on Android and reads HRV, resting heart rate and sleep from your connected wearable, with a Fit Score and muscle fatigue estimate the AI reads alongside your training history.

Is Training Today available on Android?

No. As of September 27, 2026, Training Today is built by Betoli Ltd and runs on iPhone with a native Apple Watch app; the Apple Watch app and its iPhone companion both need to be installed, and the original Apple Watch Series 0 is not supported because it cannot capture HRV.

No Android listing, beta, waitlist or web app was found, and no developer statement about Android plans was found either. A review site that compares training apps states plainly that because Training Today depends on Apple Watch and Apple HealthKit, and does not support Garmin, Oura or Fitbit, it is "exclusively an Apple ecosystem app." In practice that means a Health Connect sync on Android does not help: Training Today is the app itself, not a viewer for data that happens to sit in a health store.

What Training Today does, and why Android users go looking for it

Training Today is an HRV-based training readiness app from Betoli Ltd for iPhone and Apple Watch. It reduces heart rate variability, resting heart rate, respiratory rate and sleep, all read from Apple Watch through Apple HealthKit, into a Readiness to Train (RTT) score on a 1 to 10 scale that keeps recalculating through the day instead of showing one fixed morning number. Each reading is compared against a 60-day HRV and resting heart rate baseline, and its running and cycling workouts adjust to that day's readiness. The developer describes the app as built with input from British Triathlon coaches.

Training Today is free to download, with the basic RTT score included at no cost. Subscription features such as Siri support, enhanced iPhone graphs and notifications sit behind a paid tier, alongside iPhone home and lock screen widgets for the score itself.

People search for Training Today on Android typically because they already own a Garmin, Oura ring or Fitbit and want the same style of daily readiness score without buying an Apple Watch, or because they switched from iPhone to an Android phone and want to keep the habit going. Since Training Today reads only from Apple Watch through HealthKit and does not read Garmin, Oura or Fitbit data, none of those situations get anyone onto Android.

SIDE BY SIDE

Training Today vs. Wellness Project for Android

Training Today is an HRV readiness app built specifically for Apple Watch. The question here is what an Android user who wants that same kind of daily signal can use today.

What Android users can use instead of a readiness score

Training Today boils HRV, resting heart rate and sleep into one Apple Watch number. Wellness Project reads the same kind of signals from whatever device you actually wear and lets the AI work with them alongside your training.

HRV from any wearable

Wellness Project reads HRV from any connected source, not just Apple Watch, and tracks it against your own trend over time.

Sleep duration and stages

Reads sleep duration, stages, sleep score, bedtime, wake time and consistency from connected sources, the same category of signal Training Today reads to feed its score.

A muscle fatigue heat map estimates recovery by muscle group from your recent training, rather than one whole-body readiness number.

THE HONEST PART

What Wellness Project doesn't replace

Training Today is built around one proprietary score and Apple Watch, and some of that stays specific to Training Today.

  • No single readiness verdict of its own

Training Today collapses HRV, resting heart rate, respiratory rate and sleep into one Readiness to Train number. Wellness Project shows the underlying signals instead, keeps provider scores like Oura Readiness or WHOOP Recovery as they are, and adds a Fit Score and muscle fatigue estimate rather than a Training Today-style verdict.

    Learn what HRV means →
  • No Apple Watch or Wear OS app

Wellness Project has no watch app of its own. Watch data arrives through Health Connect on Android or Apple Health on iPhone once a connected source writes it there.

    See Health Connect support →
  • No workouts that auto-adjust to a readiness score

Training Today changes that day's running and cycling workout based on its RTT score. Wellness Project runs and rides get pace, cadence and cardiac drift from the AI running coach, but the workout itself does not automatically resize around a readiness number.

ANDROID

Made for the health tools Android users already use

You shouldn't have to switch to an iPhone to keep one connected health and training history.

Wellness Project treats Health Connect as an important part of the Android health ecosystem rather than treating Android as a stripped-down afterthought.

That lets supported data from services such as Fitbit, Oura, compatible Health Connect apps and supported smart scales become part of one history instead of living in separate dashboards.

FIVE-STAR REVIEWS

What Wellness Project users are saying

Android

“This is one of the most comprehensive wellness apps available. My wearable device data migrates seamlessly. But it’s not about the data. It’s about what to do with that data. If you want to be strong, healthy, and live a quality life, this app is for you.”

Steve Foss
iPhone

“I decided not to reinvent the wheel and have been testing multiple apps since early 2026. This one so far has been the most exciting. New features have been introduced nearly weekly it feels, and the AI integration, particularly being able to connect your own account, has been far and away the most useful feature.”

11Herbs
iPhone

“Wellness Project is doing an amazing job at not only analyzing my health data, but also allowing me to push it into a model for further analysis and insights. They’re always adding new features and take feedback seriously. I use this app multiple times a day, which is saying something as I don’t go on my phone very often.”

A daily readiness habit that isn't locked to one wrist

If you're searching for Training Today on Android, you're probably already wearing a Garmin, an Oura ring or a Fitbit, or you just switched away from iPhone and don't want to give up checking a number before deciding how hard to train.

Training Today's calculation is proprietary to Betoli Ltd and only reads Apple Watch. Wellness Project takes a different approach: it reads HRV, resting heart rate and sleep from whatever device already sits on your wrist, keeps provider scores like Oura Readiness or WHOOP Recovery intact rather than replacing them, and lets AI read all of it together with your actual training history.

That matters past this one comparison. A readiness habit is only useful if it survives a new watch, a new phone or a new health platform, and that's the part Wellness Project is built to carry forward.
