ChatGPT widgets

Your health data as interactive charts, right inside ChatGPT.

Wellness Project ships interactive widgets to ChatGPT as inline apps. Ask how your week went and ChatGPT renders a live, on-brand chart of your training, sleep, nutrition, steps, or Fit Score, right in the conversation, then keeps talking you through it. No screenshots, no switching apps, no wall of numbers.

What's inside

Interactive charts, not just text answers

This week in training

"How did my training look this week?" ChatGPT embeds a 7-day bar chart of heart points and days trained, then reasons over the trend with you.

This week in sleep

"Show me my sleep." A nightly hours-and-score chart appears inline, with your target line and which nights fell short.

This week in nutrition

"How are my macros trending?" Calories and protein, carbs, and fat vs your targets, charted across the last seven days.

Steps, Fit Score, and more

Daily steps against your goal, your 0-100 Fit Score trend, plus deeper widgets: body-weight trend, RHR and HRV recovery, runs, exercise 1RM progression, and a single workout breakdown.

Live data, every time

Each widget pulls fresh numbers from your Wellness Project account the moment you ask. The chart is the real thing, not a static image, with the same colors and Fit Score math as the app.

Charts you can act on

Because ChatGPT reads the underlying data, you can follow up in plain English: "why did Thursday dip?" or "what should I train tomorrow?" and it answers against the same numbers you just saw.

Step by step

How to get charts in ChatGPT

  1. 1
    Add Wellness Project to ChatGPT

At chatgpt.com in a browser, go to Settings → Apps → Advanced settings, turn on Developer Mode, click Create, and paste wellnessproject.ai/api/mcp. Authorize access when prompted. You only do this once.

  2. 2
    Get your data flowing

Connect a wearable or log a few workouts, meals, and nights of sleep so the charts have something to show. Apple Health, Fitbit, Oura, and Health Connect all sync automatically.

  3. 3
    Just ask about your week

Say "how did my training go this week?" or "show my sleep." ChatGPT calls the matching widget on its own and renders the chart inline, no commands to memorize.

In the app

The same dashboard, brought into the chat you already use.

ChatGPT widgets are interactive charts of your own health data, rendered inline inside a ChatGPT conversation. Most AI fitness answers are walls of text. Wellness Project takes a different path: the insight you already trust from the app, the Fit Score trend, the weekly training chart, the sleep curve, rendered as an actual chart inside ChatGPT. It is the same health dashboard your in-app specialists read, drawn with the same brand colors and the same scoring math, so nothing drifts between the app and your chat.

These are real ChatGPT apps built on MCP (the Model Context Protocol) using OpenAI’s Apps SDK. When you ask about your week, ChatGPT picks the right widget, pulls live numbers from your account, and embeds the chart in the reply. Then, because it can read the same data, it keeps the conversation going: spotting the night your sleep dipped, the day your volume spiked, the macro you keep missing.

ChatGPT and Claude reach the exact same widgets at /api/mcp, our native MCP server. In ChatGPT you add it as a custom app on any paid plan; in Claude you add it as a custom connector. Same data, same charts, visualized wherever you already chat.

FAQ

FAQ

What are ChatGPT widgets?+
They are interactive charts that render directly inside a ChatGPT conversation. When you ask Wellness Project about your week, ChatGPT embeds a live chart of your training, sleep, nutrition, steps, or Fit Score instead of just describing it in text. They are real ChatGPT apps built on MCP using OpenAI's Apps SDK.
Which charts can ChatGPT show?+
There are eleven widgets: this week in training, sleep, nutrition, steps, and Fit Score, plus body-weight trend, resting heart rate and HRV recovery, runs over the last two weeks, today's Fit Score breakdown, estimated 1-rep-max progression for any lift, and a single workout's full set-by-set detail.
How do I trigger a widget?+
Just ask naturally. Say "how did my training look this week?", "show my sleep", or "how's my bench progressing?" and ChatGPT calls the matching widget on its own. There are no slash commands or special syntax to memorize.
Which ChatGPT plans support this?+
Any paid plan: Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu. The free plan can't add custom apps. The one-time setup must be done in a web browser at chatgpt.com (the mobile and desktop apps lack Developer Mode), but once connected the widgets render everywhere you use ChatGPT.
Is the chart live or a screenshot?+
Live. Each widget pulls fresh data from your Wellness Project account the moment you ask, and renders an interactive chart, not a static image. It uses the same colors and the same Fit Score math as the app, so what you see in chat matches your dashboard exactly.
How do ChatGPT apps and widgets actually work?+
ChatGPT apps are built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and OpenAI's Apps SDK. Wellness Project runs an MCP server at wellnessproject.ai/api/mcp. When you ask about your week, ChatGPT calls the matching tool, receives your live data, and renders the returned widget inline as an interactive chart.
Is my health data private when I use ChatGPT widgets?+
Yes. The widgets only show data from your own Wellness Project account, and only after you authorize the connection. ChatGPT reaches your data through our MCP server using your authenticated session, and you can disconnect the app from ChatGPT settings at any time. Wellness Project is informational software, not a medical product.
Do ChatGPT widgets cost anything?+
Wellness Project is free during early access, so the widgets cost nothing from our side. You do need a paid ChatGPT plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Edu) because the free ChatGPT tier cannot add custom apps.
Does this work in Claude too?+
Yes. The same widgets render in Claude through MCP. See the Claude widgets page for setup; the charts and data are identical, only the way you add it differs.
